You can remove the consumer part of the BT master socket (NTE) and replace it with this one. On the front it has a BT telephone socket and an RJ11 for the broadband modem connection. the ADSL filter is then built into the BT master avoiding ugly ADSL filters that stick out.
Additionally, the unit has a punch down on the back for telephone extensions just like the normal BT master front plate.
